There's no such thing as a lazy summer day in this house!

This week has been very, very busy thus far! We have had continued swim lessons, craft projects, errands and play dates galore! We took the last two day off our "summer slips," due to the increase of craziness around here.;) One of our errands yesterday included picking up the girls new lunchboxes for this school year... I'm obsessed, they came out so cute!
                                                               aren't they adorable!?
Anyway, I digress. The last two days have included a lot of time with our favorite little men... "the boys."  Isabella and Jenna love playing with the boys and I must say their little minds thrive of each others creativity.

Jenna was waiting patiently for her dinner date last night....

and...... here he is! He was giving Jenna his best "come hither" face!

Isabella was also very happy to see her little prince charming....

One of the highlights of their night last night was their "stage" performance... like I said, very creative!  Today we met up with "the boys," again! We just can't get enough!!! It happens to be Juliane's birthday today so of course we celebrated HER birthday by entertaining the kids, lol.  We ventured off to good ol' Sports Connection for a morning full of games. We started with bowling...

Then we moved on to the carousel.....

After the carousel we played several games....

Jenna was so excited she did not know what to do first....
Although overall, I think they all enjoyed rocking out with the guitar the most!

We had a great time playing games with the boys! We left sports connection and moved on to our next fun activity of the morning.... Isabella's manicure!
I think My little girls had a very happy and fun filled morning!

Don't ya just love them!!!!

Some where over the rainbow......

After two days/nights of much needed rain... we celebrated the day yesterday with "rainbow day!" We started by decorating beautiful rainbow crowns with rainbow letter stickers and rainbow stickers.... Isabella made one for mommy and one for herself...

We also made rainbow pipe-cleaner jewelry!!
Our last rainbow project was a cooking project.... we made sugar cookies with frosting and rainbow sprinkles!
                                                                     It was simply colorful!

Pink, Parties, and Projects, Oh My!

Yesterday was "Pinkialicous" day, which meant that our whole day revolved around all things pink! Isabella was greeted in her room yesterday morning with a pink crown and a pink boa....
We did pink art projects, such as a pink collage, and ate special pink treats... a pink cupcake with pink frosting and a pink flower!

Even mommy got in on the pink motif!
We ended our day playing outside in the sprinkler...... and because it was so hot out, our cheeks were pink too!

Isabella even tried giving Jenna an outside "bath...."

It was a great end to our "Pinkalicous"day!

Last night we celebrated our cousin's 24th birthday.... with a walk on the wild side! ;)

                                                               Ashley loves animal print!
The lady of the hour....it was a very nice celebration with lots of laughs and very full tummies!

Today was a "non-slip" day because I knew we would be out and about running errands, however while Jenna was napping I did manage to squeeze in a few very over due sewing projects, such as these pillow slip covers...
I LOVE the fabric!I think they came out pretty cute!

It's not Wednesday... it's "Sun" day!

Today's slip read " The sun is shining bright, let's enjoy it until tonight!" This morning Isabella had her third day of swim lessons, which happen to be at the YMCA, which happens to be right next to the YMCA water park!!! So, after Isabella's lesson we enjoyed the sun and spent a few hours at the water park, the girls had a blast! After the water park we went home for lunch and Jenna went down for her afternoon nap. Meanwhile, Isabella worked on her special "sun" project... a sun catcher to hang on the window.
                                                                   It came out so cute!
After nap. we all went on a nature walk to enjoy the sun a little bit more... we collected bugs and ran through sprinklers! It was perfect! After our walk we came home and had dinner... which consisted of turkey bacon, pancakes, and oranges... designed like a sun of course!
Ready to soak up the sun!

The sun was shining bright today!

Where do I start?!

Ok, so, we have had a lot going on around here lately... we have been enjoying our "summer slips," playing, and plain ol' having fun! I will start with our slip from two days ago that read" Let's get Bedazzled," which consisted of all things jewelry... Isabella picked out a special necklace while birthday shopping with our cousin Ashley, making fruit loop necklaces, and "bedazzling" a picture frame for her room.
                                                           Fruity fun....

                                                              working hard on her frame!
Yesterday was a "non-slip" day because I had to go into work for a few hours my dear friend Juliane watched the girls....let me just say, she went above and beyond and made my girls morning extra special with fun art projects and an extra special lunch! Today was "movie day" because the weather outside was kinda yucky so we watched "101 Dalmatians" and "Tangled" and enjoyed some a very movie appropriate snack..popcorn!
It is no secret that Isabella loves all things pink and glittery and anything that requires dressing up and playing princess, well, Jenna decided she wanted to be a princess too and one afternoon she turned herself into Cinderella!
She decided to play both parts of Cinderella a once... wear the sparkly pink skirt WHILE sweeping the floor! Smart girl, multi-tasking already!

I decided to get involved with the dress up action and "dressed up" Jenna's hair!

A pony tail on top and pig tails in the back!!

This is my new favorite hair do!!!!!

My little otter

We have had a very, very busy few days between special play dates with our dear friends, the Kilcoyne's, fun summer activities ( the slips/papers) and Isabella's first day of swim lessons! She did such an amazing job this morning! She certainly has no fear and is quite comfortable in the water already, so learning how to actually how do swim is just the icing on the cake!! ;)
                                                                 She has such confidence!
After 4 weeks of lessons... she will be swimming like a little fish!

Puzzle Day

Being that today is Saturday I wanted to take the girls somewhere fun, a change of scenery...so we ventured off to a spray ground near uptown called Latta Park.  Although our slip read" pieces here, pieces there, pieces, pieces everywhere," was glimpse into today's theme... puzzles, we did not really jump into the theme until later in the day, after our adventure to the new park. We went to the spray ground with our good friends , the Kilcoynes and the girls had a blast! We started off at the playground and worked up a sweat then made our way over to the water works!!
                                               Isabella jumped right in...

whereas Jenna took a different approach and decided to observe...

Isabella could have stayed there all day..

Isabella tried to encourage her sister , but Jenna stood her ground!

We got home just in time for lunch , then played for a bit, had a dance party in the playroom and then tucked Jenna away for her nap. During nap time Isabella and I spent time working on a new "Toy Story" 3D puzzle. After much frustration and a bit of help from mommy, the puzzle was complete so we then moved on to our puzzle art project. Isabella made a puzzle piece collage!
She was very pleased with her outcome!
Such an abstract work of art! ;)
